President’s Welcome and Call to Order
Meeting started at 6:32 with a thank you from Jill Hoyt for attending.
EXECUTIVE REPORT’S
Secretary’s Report
Minutes were read by Holly Kline and approved.
Treasure’s Report
Balance as of March 1st $17,386.64
Expenditures: $ 7,729.40
Deposits: $ 5,869.01
Balance ending as of March 31st $ 16,826.96

COMMITTEE REPORTS
RIF
Our last RIF event went good, handed books out to all classes, the next RIF event will be June 3rd Thurs. with a Carnival theme, looking for lots of volunteers, so if free please come in for the morning hours, in the afternoon a magician is coming. Sign up after meeting if interested. Waiting to see if cafeteria will go along with a picnic theme lunch.
Teacher Appreciation
Week of May 3rd - 7th, sending home letter to parents asking for donations specific to grade levels. Could use a few helpers, especially on Tues. 4th for luncheon.
Assemblies
May 10th at the Senior High will see a play “Monster in the Closet”, and on May 19th the Bloomsburg Theatre Assembly.
BASKETBALL
The basketball game is this Friday, and parents who have children in 5th and 6th grade basketball are asked to please volunteer to play and help out.
No kids are to be dropped off without adult supervision.
BOOKFAIR
Very successful, next year may have more choices and bigger book fair.
Bought 100 books for kindergarten readiness, and carpet was bought for library and looks great.
EARTH DAY
Earth day will be April 22nd, 16 volunteers so far, also looking for some volunteers on Sat. April 17th to get gardens ready. Trees have been ordered, picking up supplies next week , same set up as last year, except face painting in back field as well, and yoga will be added as a station, would like to add 1-2 bluebird houses to gardens waiting for approval from Mrs. Glogowski.
SCHOOL STORE
The last school store went fine, start fresh next year with new supplies. Will be selling science boards this Fri. $2 each flyer sent out.
SKATE PARTY
We have added a skate party due to the whether for are last skate night, tentavily it will be May 27th Thurs. night
SPIRIT WEAR
The next order forms for the spirit wear sale should be going out with in the next week, Lauren was picking up samples today.
NEW BUSINESS
*Inductions of new PTA board members.
*Look into a gift for end of year for students
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
5th and 6th grade Dance- will look into date
Kool-Aid jammers and Capri Sun- look into ways to collect, and send in for money.
Committee chairs and co-chairs- see what committees will need people to take over or co-chair for the coming year.
FACULTY COMMENTS
Mrs. Williams stated the last RIF event was good to just give books with the PSSA schedules, and looking forward to end of year events.
NEXT MEETING
The next meeting will be May 5th 2010 at 6:30 in the music room.
